Within
the Electronics Design Network, there are currently eight regional Support
Centres, all of which can provide companies with independent advice
and hands-on experience of modern design practice. Expert consultancy
is also available.
Each Centre
offers wide experience of electronics design and development and is
equipped with a representative suite of industry standard design tools
offering "top-down" capability, including low-cost, PC-based examples
suited to small company requirements.
These tools
support state-of-the-art design methods which can reduce the time to
market and engineering costs by: efficient system level design; right-first-time
design through advanced simulation techniques; design automation; efficient
design management; design re-use (IP); and modular product design.
The team
at each Centre can brief you fully on the commercial and technical implications
of any design advance you may be contemplating. Signposts to commercial
sources of design tools, components, design expertise, consultancy and
manufacture can all be provided.
