Marketing is the UK arm of Avnet Eng., the world's largest electronic
component distributor. A specialist PLD group is based at Stevenage to
advise customers objectively on the best implementation in terms of product,
architecture, production, test and commercial issues for their specific
application. Products supported range from the simplest PLDs to ASICs
with 125000 gate complexities. The principal focus is on PLDs and FPGAS,
which generally prove to be the most cost effective choice for volumes
up to 20,000 units per year. Hardware and software support is available
for the major manufacturers in this market, notably AMD, Philips and Xilinx.

of all sizes.
