Microchip Technology's ASIC Products Division provides the QuickASIC MPGA family of quick time-to-market devices. These directly replace expensive FPGAs or other programmable logic devices, using Microchip's conversion technology. The QuickASIC program features:

• Inexpensive masked versions of industry-standard programmable devices
• Turnkey conversion from your existing FPGA
• Deposit program (Zero-NRE™) refunds the entire conversion deposit over shipments
• Entire conversion and manufacturing is handled by Microchip
• Up to 42000 usable gates, with between 24 and 208 I/Os
• 2.7 to 5.5V operation
• Significantly lower power operation than FPGAs or CPLDs: 0.5uW/gate/MHz
• 0.7 micron gate array technology

Microchip engineers have experience in using most third party design tools, although none are supported directly. Verilog and VHDL libraries can be used as part of our verification procedure.
